

Harold Rollin Kemp, 61, of Blacklick, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at his home surrounded by friends and family. Harold was born March 11, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio, a son of the late Harry S. Kemp and Juanita nee Huddleston Kemp. Survived by his wife of 39 years Barbara Joyce and his children Jeremy Ryan and Lauren Amanda. He also leaves behind his brother Howard C. Kemp (Florence). Harold was a 1971 graduate of Otterbein College, 1974 graduate of Capital University Law School, and cofounder of the law firm Kemp Schaeffer & Rowe. Harold practiced family law in the Central Ohio area his entire career and improved its practice through the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Harold was always thankful for his extended family, neighbors, law partners, associates, staff, clients, and members of the Academy who enriched his daily life and made it well worth living. Thanks to the men of Bible Study Fellowship who helped fortify and sustain Harold the past years of his life. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 11:00 am at the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068. Harold will have been laid to rest in Headley Cemetery, Blacklick.
