Harold E. Phillips, age 90, passed away at his home on Monday, December 26, 2011. He was born on May 13, 1921 in Newark to the late Jesse and Helen Phillips. As a young man Harold proudly served his country in U.S. Army Aircorp. He had a long and successful career at Owens Corning, retiring after 40 years of service. Harold was a proud member of the American Legion Post 85 and the VFW Post 1060. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Edna. He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Friday, December 30, 2011 at the CRISS-SCHOEDING FUNERAL HOME 179 Granville St. A graveside service will be held following calling hours. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
