

Harry Lee Adams, age 66, of Columbus, died Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Kobacker House with his devoted wife, Sandi, by his side. Harry courageously battled colon cancer for the past 5 years. Born October 9, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert Sr. and Henrietta "Hank" Adams. Harry graduated from Whitehall Yearling H.S. and attended Franklin University where he graduated with an Associate's degree in Accounting. He retired from the City of Columbus Development Dept. as a Fiscal Manager with 33 years of service. He was a member of the AGONIS Club. Harry was also an avid golfer. He was known to tee off at daybreak at the airport golf course just to get at least 9 holes in and still be early to work. He has been secretary of the G.C.O. Golf League for many years and played in several other leagues. He also traveled the country to play. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, both basketball and football. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents "Big" Harry and Naomi Brobeck and brother, Michael Adams. Harry is survived by his loving wife, of 28 years, Sandi; son, Michael (Shanna) Ritchie; grandchildren, Chase (Summer) Ritchie, Seth Ritchie, and Kara Ritchie; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert C. Adams, Jr. and Richard (Charles Gillis) Adams; nephews, Robert (Gayle) Adams III and Dan (Vicki) Boyd; niece, Carmen (John) Hamilton; and many other nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Memorial visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, December 16, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. where a memorial service will be held 11 AM Tuesday. Fr.
