Harry M. Marriott, age 95, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was born on May 30, 1921 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harry and Grace (Thacker) Marriott. Harry served in the Army Air Corp during WWII, retired from Sloter Concrete after many years of service, was a member of Teamsters Local Union No. 284, enjoyed woodworking and traveling, and lived a full and happy life. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Mae Marriott; step-son, Tom Chaffin; great-granddaughter, Angel Nicole Marriott; brother, Homer Marriott; and sister, Marion Buzzard. He is survived by his wife, Esther R. (Chaffin) Marriott; children, Garry, Michael, and Mary Kay Marriott; stepchildren, Floyd (Lori) Chaffin, Judy Worthington, and Linda (Tom) Hersland; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, where the funeral service will be held 10 am Thursday, March 30, 2017. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
