

Hazel was born in Johnstown, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Lessie (Piper) Williamson on January 12, 1939. She met and married Alvah Steuber in 1955 and together they raised nine children. He preceded her in death in 1997 after 41 years of marriage. Hazel had a special way of keeping her family together through the years. She raised her family in church, where she sang, played piano and taught Sunday school. She insistently celebrated each of her children’s birthdays even into their adulthoods. She also loved and pampered her many pets, especially and most recently her dog Snickers. Hazel enjoyed sitting outdoors, crocheting, doing puzzles, and each year at Christmas handing out gifts to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by children Vicky (Scott) Vollmer, Alvah Steuber, Cherle (David) Trimarche, Ricky (Debbie) Steuber, Ronda Johnson, James (Sandy) Steuber and Bobby (Mandy) Steuber as well as her many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, and her constant companion, Snickers. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughters Dianna and Sheila Steuber and four sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 4-7 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2PM with one hour visitation prior. Pastor Dan Dobbs will officiate and burial will follow at Mifflin Twp. Cemetery
