Helen Converse

Helen Converse was born on August 27, 1924 in McComb, Ohio and died on August 3, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 93 years old. She is predeceased by her father Pearl Taylor Lanker and mother Alice Agnes Lanker. Helen is survived by sister, Margaret Lutz; sister-in-law's, Carolyn Lanker and Joanne Converse; son, Gregory Dale Converse; daughter, Cynthia Anderson and grandson Kory Anderson.

Helen graduated from The Ohio State University School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for Armco Steel and Middletown Hospital where she was the head nurse on the Orthopedics Unit. She was active as a volunteer at The United Methodist Church of Middletown as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Group Leader and as a part of the Neighborhood Outreach Program.

Helen established a support group for families with a loved one who had mental health issues throughout Butler County. Through this group she also offered educational seminars for families who had mental health issues affecting their families.

Services have been entrusted to SCHOEDINGER Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, Ohio 43085. There will be a visitation on Sunday August 12 beginning at 10:00am followed by a service at 11:00am.
