Helen P. "Polly" Hamilton

Helen P. “Polly” Hamilton, age 84, of Stoutsville, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 3, 2011. Family was always important to Polly, as she worked hard to provide a clean home and nutritious meals for her husband, Roy, and their children. She enjoyed her flower beds and doing crafts, like macramé. She also enjoyed playing euchre and bingo. Following Roy’s retirement, they were able to do some camping together. Roy preceded Polly in death, as did their son, Gary Lee Hamilton; parents, Opie and Mertie Phillips; her sister, Opal and brother, James. Polly is survived by her children, Shirley Craycraft, Roy David Hamilton, Debbie Smith and Brent (Lisa) Hamilton; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hamilton; grandchildren, Scott (Penny) Craycraft, Don (Allison) Craycraft, Brian (Tammy) Smith, Duane, Justin and Jacob Hamilton; great-grandsons, Nelson and Logan Craycraft, Garret and Jaron Smith; sister, Leona (Oscar) Sullivan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Howard and Lillian Spencer and Heartland Hospice. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 4:00PM-6:00PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00PM at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville, OH 43113. Pastor Kenny Smith officiating. Private family inurnment in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.
