Helen Eileen Holbert

Helen Eileen Holbert, age 90, formerly of Columbus, passed away at her home in Utah. She was born on October 9, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to the late Park and Frances (Fritch) Bricker. Helen worked 8 years with Ohio Bell and 24 years as a Teacher with 15 years at Stiles Elementary School. She received her Master's Degree from Kent State University and was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority. Helen was a member of St. John Lutheran Church for 43 years and the Swinger's Golf Group at Raymond Golf Course. Preceded in death by her parents; father of her son, William Holbert; sisters, E. Jean Kump and Betty Bricker; brother, Alan Bricker; and good friend, Yvonne Doles Survived by her son, Roger (Marilyn) Holbert; grandchildren, Erica Walker, Holli (Emery) Sharp and Nathan (Callie) Holbert; great grandchildren, Jace, Mercedes, Marshall and Elle; many nieces and nephews. Visitation and Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 9:00 - 11:00 am with service to follow at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 2745 W. Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43204.
