

Helen Sidlo Schneider, age 91, died Thursday August 28, 2014 at Licking Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving children. Helen was a longtime resident of Gahanna and recently a resident of Kendal at Granville. Helen is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur “Wib” Schneider and brother Frank Sidlo. She is survived by sons and daughters in law: Steve and Polly Schneider of Granville, Tom and Sue Schneider of Gahanna; daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann and Steve Handley of New Albany; grandchildren: Brad (Amanda) Schneider, Katie (Jaredd) Flynn, Abby (John) Bambey, Molly (Bobby) Gardner, Wib Schneider, Maggie Schneider, Ellie Handley and Grace Handley; great grandchildren: Ella, Nolan and Violet Schneider, Carter, Grady and Ryan Flynn, Brooke, Greta and Katelynn Bambey; sisters: Mary Arnold and Marty Zody; sister-in-law Marilyn (Lance) Shreffler; brother-in-law Roy Lawrence, nieces, nephews and other family. Helen was a longtime member of Mifflin Presbyterian Church, Graduate of Cambridge Brown High School and Honorary Graduate of Miami University. Together with her husband Wib, they founded the Schneider Insurance Agency in 1966, where they worked side by side for many years. Throughout her life, Helen devoted herself to helping others. She was a longtime volunteer at Mt. Carmel East Hospital where she touched countless lives. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life and to them she gave the gift of her time, wisdom and unconditional love. Helen was a faithful, kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her memory will be cherished by those who love her forever and always. The family will receive friends 12 Noon until 1PM Friday September 5, 2014 at Mifflin Presbyterian Church 123 Granville Street Gahanna where Funeral Service will be held at 1PM with Pastor David Bubb officiating and Pastor William McKee assisting. Interment Mifflin Township Cemetery.
