Helen Mantsavinos White

Helen Mantsavinos White, 86, of Jensen Beach, FL and Gahanna, OH, passed away on December 15, 2017 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family. Born November 22, 1931 in Nashua, NH to the late Constantine and Marigoula Mantsavinos, she was also preceded in death by her brother Roger Mantsavinos; son John G. White III in 2006, and her husband of over 56 years, John G. White, Jr. in 2010.

Helen was a 1949 graduate of Nashua High School and received her Bachelor's Degree in 1953 from Smith College, where she met her future husband. She was a social worker but her primary focus was her family and making people in her life feel loved and cared for. She and her husband spent their retirement years living between Lake Chautauqua, NY and Hutchinson Island in Florida.

She is survived by her daughter Gay (Shawn) Meads, grandchildren Faith and Grace Meads and John and Eric White; great granddaughter Audrey Faith Meads; nephew Chuck (Edie) Mantsavinos; niece Marea (Bob) Mullen; as well as other significant family members.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4-7PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 11AM. Helen will be interred at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua, NH on January 4, 2018. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Helen.
