

Helen L. Williamson, age 88, previously of Gahanna, currently of Delaware, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011. Helen was born in Granville, Ohio, only child of the late William and Amma Cooper. Helen graduated from Granville High School, Class of 1941 and following she moved to German Village to attend beauty school and it was during that time she met and married her loving husband Phillip. On March 29, 1943 Helen and Phillip were married and the two of them went on to share in 68 glorious years together. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gahanna and while there she was active in numerous church groups. Helen also volunteered with Cat Welfare and the Child Conservation League. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, going to garage sales, but most of all, Helen loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Phillip Williamson; daughters, Diana (Frank) Hanning and Leigh Ann (Hugh) Gordon; grandchildren, Scott (Cathy) and Chad (Michelle) Hanning and John and Joshua Gordon; great grandchildren, Juliann, Abigail, Phoebe, and Drew; cat, Blackie; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until time of service.
