Henry D. McKnight, 89, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on February 10, 2022. He was born on February 5, 1933 to the late William D. and Violet (Pierce) McKnight in Pomeroy, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife Ainslee (Wilson); children Nancy McKnight, Mark (Diana) McKnight, Cathy (Chuck) Collins, Susan (Steve) Smith; sisters Carolyn Dailey and Peggy Shoemaker, brother Carlos (Sharon) McKnight; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his three brothers Leon, Donald and Gary McKnight.
He was a 49 year member of Canal Winchester (formerly Ralph R. Rickly) Lodge No. 670, F&A.M.; Valley of Columbus, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; and the Aladdin Shrine. He retired from the Air Force with 20 years of service including Korea and Vietnam.
The family will receive friends from 11am until 12pm on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, OH 43224. A masonic service will occur at High Twelve, with the funeral following immediately after, Pastor Larry Hall presiding. Interment to follow at Blendon Central cemetery.
