Herbert Harris

Herbert W. “Toot” Harris, age 59, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at Grant Medical Center. He was born in Columbus on November 1, 1951 to the late Herbert and Juanita Harris. Herbert was an outgoing man with a big heart and a bigger personality. He loved people and had a way of making everyone feel special when they were around him. He had many interests in life, but especially enjoyed fishing and taking walks with his wife. His family will forever miss the sound of his laughter and his love and companionship. Herb was a special man and will truly be missed by all who had the good fortune to call him friend. He is survived by his soul mate and wife of 39 years, Diann; son Shawn; siblings, Alberta Herde, Marlene McKee and Gregory (Judy) Harris; sisters-in-law, Brenda English, and Earline Ross; brother-in-law, Earl English; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenny (Helen) Ransom; many uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call from 9-10:30 am, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 E. State St., where funeral services will be held at 10:30 am following the calling hours. Interment at Union Cemetery.
