

Jack Albert Connell, 89 of Columbus, died June 28, 2013. He was born December 11, 1923 in Blacklick, OH to the late Ernest and Clara (Hanson) Connell. He graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School and retired with over 20 years as Office Manager with Quikrete Co. He served with the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a founding member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church and a member of 50+ years of Neocaccia Lodge #595 FandAM. He enjoyed woodworking and traveled to all 50 states. He was very family oriented, a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife of over 52 years, Mary E. (Purvis) Connell in 2005, brothers John E. and Robert Connell and Emerson Motley, and sister Alberta Depew. Jack is survived by two daughters Jacquelyn M. Clark and Donna L. Smith, three grandchildren Melissa (Robert) Wolfe, Nicole Smith and Adam Smith and two great grandchildren Charlie and Billy Wolfe. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 4:30 PM at Maize Manor United Methodist Church, 3901 Maize Rd. with visitation one hour prior.
