

Jack Bruce Richey, 87, of Circleville, Ohio, formerly of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Brown Memorial Home in Circleville. He was born September 7, 1927 in Washington, PA, the son of J. Albert and Mildred (Blayney) Richey. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Jean Standiford and Marjorie Flick.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruthann (Harris) Richey; nephews, Dennis (Debby) Standiford and Bruce Standiford; special cousins, Linda and Harry Serene; and several special friends.
Jack was a graduate of Washington High School and served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a service manager for NCR and retired in 1990 after 43 years of service. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Dora, Florida. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Monongahela Lodge in Pittsburgh. Jack loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and shrimping during his travels with wife, Ruthann. He also spent his spare time woodworking, building gasoline engines and attending steam and engine shows.
Graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 27, 2014 at West Alexander Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Brown Memorial Home, 158 E.
