I just found out about Jack's passing, and would like to express my deepest sympathies to his wife Patty and their children and grandchildren.  I will always remember Jack, who I went to High school with, as a good person and a great friend.  May he rest in peace.

I am his grandaughter Ariana. ( You can call me Ana.) He played a huge part in my life and it still hasnt quite clicked that he is really gone. I have memories of him taking me out on the tractor when I was little. He would let me help control it so i could someday drive the tractor and mow his lawn. That day has not come yet but im still am going to try to work that tractor some time. 

I still love the smell of his woodshop. I'm too afraid to go into right now because I might cry. ( I am a very weepy person.) One time he took me into his woodshop and asked me what i would like to make. I drew a sketch of a snowman on a piece of wood and he told me to put it under something that looked like a giant macho needle. My hands were shaking and i was afraid to put my fingers under that machine. He understood immediately, took my hands in his, and guided me under that needle. His hands shook just as much as mine but i felt safer.

 Im going to miss my grandpa the rest of my life. All through my thirteen years of life he has loved me and the rest of my family. At least the rest of my grandpa's family is there to watch over him until i get there as well.

Sometimes your perceptions of people are not accurate when you think back on your childhood. But I know that my perceptions of Jack were accurate. I grew up knowing that Jack was strong, a hard worker, loved his family deeply and had a big heart. I remember him being quiet but then he probably didn't have alot to talk to a little kid about! I remember his smile...and that is was genuine. I remember growing up knowing that my mother could always call him for help or questions and he always made time for her. I am sorry for your loss however I feel blessed to have many simplistic, but good memories of him. God bless your family that you may feel comforted.

I first met Jack Warner through his wife Pat.  She was involved in a church musical.  She enlisted his help and abilities with woodworking to make flat wooden hammers that we used as props during a song.  I was excited to meet him.  When he came to the musical the first time I saw him he was teasing his granddaughter Amy.  He came up behind her and tugged her ponytail.  

I visited their home a few times and enjoyed seeing all of his wood creations.  I went home and told my husband about it, who had always wanted to get into wood working.  We came back and he showed Jake his heated garage with his tools and his inventive devices he made to help him work.  He helped Jake make his first piece of furniture, a fireplace mantle.  They did it pretty quickly and Jake was really pleased with it.  He and Pat came over later during the Christmas season and we enjoyed sitting in the living room and talking while admiring it.  We have a pleasant, permanent reminder of his kindness in sharing his talents.

I recall the great handyman who was our landlord and friend as a young couple starting out in Ohio. Both Pat and jack took us in, sharing meals and common sense answers to life's questions.
He was a great family man, leaving many to remember him and treasure the moments together.
