Jacob Benson

Jacob Nicholas "Jack" Benson was called home to Heaven on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. He was born to William and Pamela (Clay) Benson on April 2, 1994. He is survived by his parents and his loving siblings, Shane, Alyssa and Deacon; his fraternal grandmother, Judith (Herlihy) Benson, and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was a 2011 graduate of St. Charles Preparatory School where he was voted by his teammates as Captain of the varsity soccer team during his senior year. He then went on to the University of Cincinnati, from where he graduated last December. He was in the process of obtaining his realtor's license and had a very bright future ahead of him. Jack never met a stranger - he walked up to kids he had never seen before and had them laughing and playing in seconds. He could engage anyone in conversation, and immediately they knew they had a new friend. He was honest, sincere, loving and had the most genuine heart. He loved music, soccer, his friends and, more than anything, his family. He leaves behind great memories that will be shared for a lifetime, funny stories that will make people smile for decades and a wonderful place in our hearts that will be reserved solely for Jack.

Arrangements were entrusted to Schoedinger Northeast Chapel. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church 807 Havens Corners Rd., Gahanna, Ohio 43230 on November 2, 2018 at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dreams on Horseback 1416 Reynoldsburg - New Albany Rd, Blacklick, OH 43004, an organization that Jack volunteered at.
