

Jackie S. Jahn, 70 from Grove City, left this world to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday July 20 in the afternoon while with her family and in the care of Serenity House in Grove City after an almost 8 month fight against brain cancer.
Born October 11, 1945 in Ravenswood West Virginia to Alice Lucille Weimer (Smith) and Francis Joseph Jones. She was married to Jim (James) R. Jahn for 41 years, together for 44 years and was a homemaker on their farm just south of GC. Jackie is survived by her three children: Tim (Carrie) Koethke, Micki (Eric)Young and Jason (Kira) Jahn, eight grandchildren, sisters Charlotte Thomas and Lois Sutphin, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs Max and Raven. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and two sisters, Alice Faye and Connie Sue Jones.
Jackie spent countless hours enjoying her grandchildren, volunteering with the GC band and other school events for many years, and mowing the grass whenever possible.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of GC and before that at the Grove City Church of Christ.
An avid Elvis Presley fan, Jackie was also on her high school homecoming court, enjoyed dancing, the color red, and the spring peonies in her yard.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 22, 2016 from 1-3 and 6-8pm at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway where funeral service will be held on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 10 am and visitation starting at 9 am with Pastor Dave Berna officiating. Interment will be at Concord Cemetery.
