James “Mike” Michael Gray, age 72, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Jan. 16, 2026. He was born on Sept. 9, 1953 in Logan, Ohio to the late Richard and Wilma (Benett) Gray. He joins in death his wife Marueen “Chicki” Gray; son James Sharp and siblings Lee, Kay and Rhesa. James leaves behind his children Amy Gray (Matt) and Erin Gray; grandchildren JJ, Brittany, Hannah, Brandon, Jace, Morgan, Kirsten, Mikey, Kash, Janiah and Jaleah. Also surviving are numerous great grandchildren and siblings Keith and Ida. James was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Visitation will be held on Monday Jan. 26, 2026 from 10AM to 12PM with the funeral service starting at 12PM at the Advantage by Schoedinger – Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204. In lieu of flowers memorial donations for colorectal cancer research may be made his name to the American Institute for Cancer Research – PO Box 97167, Washington, DC 20090-7167.
