James John Grimm

James John Grimm, age 93, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019. He was born August 12, 1925 in Rochester, NY to the late John and Loretta (Bossert) Grimm. Also preceding him in death are brothers Norbert and Roland Grimm. Jim graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a Project Manager at Battelle for many years. He was an avid woodworker and an accomplished musician. He was a devoted man of faith and sang and cantored in his church for more than 50 years. He thoroughly enjoyed time with family especially his 18 grandchildren and 24+ great-grandchildren. Jim will be deeply missed by his loving wife Anne (Gouse) Grimm of 70 years, daughters: Mary Anne (Michael) Meagher, Patricia (James) Kurth; sons: John (Jillanne) Grimm, Charles (Connie) Grimm, James (Amy) Grimm, Jose (Debbie) Garcia, sister-in-law, Jean Grimm and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Family will receive friends from 4-7pm on Friday, February 8, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church, 414 E. N. Broadway, Columbus, Ohio 43214 with burial at Resurrection Cemetery to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church.
