
James Raymond Jackson II, died Sunday, January 10. James was born December 11, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio. He is the son of Eleanor Bauman Jackson of Parma Heights and the late James R. Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Karen Rainsberg Jackson, sisters, Lynne (Norm) Buccholz Lewicki of Columbia Station, Julie (Jack) McMasters of Cleveland, and Lori (Bob) Allen of Lakewood, Ohio; nieces, Alyssa McMasters, Jackie (Richard) Long and Diane Lewicki; nephews, Mike (Ashley) McMasters and Matt Allen, uncle, Don (Sue) Bauman of Candlewood Lake and cousin, Jeff (Hollis) Bauman. Jim is a 1963 graduate of Valley Forge High School in Parma and a 1977 graduate of Franklin University with a major in accounting and minor in Business Administration. Jim always said he had three careers - one as a mechanical designer with Steel Improvement in Cleveland and Industrial Nucleonics in Columbus, second working as a public accountant and third his career in the Ohio Attorney General's Office in Medicaid Fraud and then as a Special Agent in the Special Investigations Unit at BCI after going through the Police Academy. Jim was on the FOP mediating team and served as secretary and later as president of the FOP Eagle Lodge #177 when he was at BCI. During his life he held many leadership roles in different organizations. He helped form and was president of a downtown Franklin University Alum group and was on the Franklin University Alum Board. Jim is a member of the Church of the Redeemer Moravian Church in Dublin, Ohio and has served as a leader of the building committee, member, and president of the Board of Trustees for many terms over the years, a member of the Moravian Church Northern Province Homeland Ministries, also served on the Northern Province Larger Life Foundation as secretary over past 12 years. Jim had many hobbies and interests including a private pilot's license, collecting classic cars and model trains, and in his earlier days officiating at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Track in Lexington, Ohio. A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
