

James “Jim” Thurman JayJohn, Sr., age 96, passed away under the loving care of Highbanks Care Center. He was born on March 30, 1919 in Zaleski, Ohio to the late Thurman and Minnie Boggs Wells JayJohn. He also joins his loving wife Jean JayJohn, who passed away in 2003.
A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The legacy he leaves behind includes his children: James (Beverly) JayJohn, Jr., Jill JayJohn (Whitney Wrightsel), Jacqueline (Charlie) Stiteler; and Tim (Tina) Newell, a friend who is like a son to Jim; his grandchildren: Michelle (Adam) James, Melissa (Dan) Wittmer, Zack and Alex Stiteler; and great-grandchildren: Alexis, Olivia and Gabriel Wittmer.
An avid Buckeye fan, Jim dedicated 36 years of his life to Worthington Gulf and Towing. He was also a business man and entrepreneur, who had the privilege of owning and operating a multitude of different ventures.
Family will honor his life with a gathering of friends and family on Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 4-7 p.m., at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. His Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am, Monday, July 13, 2015 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1200 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068, where family will receive friends from 9-10am that morning.
