

James was born on September 28, 1934 in Olive Hill, Kentucky where he lived until age 10, when his family moved to Oak Hill, Ohio. After graduating from Oak Hill High School in 1953, James moved to Columbus, Ohio, married, worked at North American Rockwell and eventually at Grandon Manufacturing Co for many years. James was a tool and die maker, a foreman, a self-taught engineer, and an inventor, creating and building a machine which changed the rotary cutting die industry. James wrapped up his career as an Account Manager for Tecumseh Corrugated Box Company.
He enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking, bowling, building, fishing, taking his family on camping trips and trips to visit family. He loved knowledge and read many books about the history of war, especially the Civil War.
James was preceded in death by his father, Lewis, his mother, Erie, and his siblings, Evelyn, Robert, Frieda, Anna, Phil, and Gene.
He is survived by his children, Wayne (Barb) Kiser, Doug (Bernice) Kiser, and Jennifer (Mark) Breton, as well as his grandchildren, Daniel Breton, Amanda Kiser, Ryan Kiser, Carissa Breton, Elizabeth Kiser, Lydia Breton, and Alicia Kiser.
