James Michael Oyer, age 75, passed away at Crown Pointe Care Center on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, J. Edward and Mary Oyer. He is survived by his sister, Suzanne (Joe) Emsweller, nephew, Patrick Emsweller, numerous cousins, other family and friends. Jim was a 1964 graduate of Upper Arlington High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University. Jim enjoyed playing blind soft ball known as beep ball, blind skiing, and golf. He was also a DJ, comedian, and actor. Jim belonged to Kiwanis and was the first blind president of the Tri Village Lion's Club. Family will receive friends at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd. on Monday, July 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13 at Green Lawn Cemetery.
