James Harvey Smith

James Harvey Smith, Jr., 69, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 surrounded by the ones he loved the most. He was born April 20, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio to the late James and Faye Smith. Jim was a 1964 graduate of Franklin Heights High School. He was a member of Teamsters Local Union #413 and a member of Madison Lodge #221 AFandAM. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting, and going to auctions. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Ashley Marie Smith. Jim is survived by loving wife of 50 years, Donna Smith; children, Tim (Nannette) Smith, Missy (Kenny) Brewer, Shaun (Lori) Smith, and Kimberly (Danny) Weber; grandchildren, Ashley Smith, Samantha Smith, Jennifer (Anthony) Edgecomb, Allison Smith, K.C. (Kortney) Brewer, Ryan Brewer, Adam Horavath Smith, Andrew Horavath Smith, Erica (Chris) Columbus, and Savanah Weber; great-grandchildren, Devon Webb, DeAndre Webb, Kamill Weaver, Kallie Weaver, Mikey Neff, Braxton McComas, Braedyn McComas, Kensley Brewer, Kennedy Brewer, Mariah Columbus, and Miranda Columbus; sisters, Lenna (Larry) Haase and Elaine (Tim) Hay; special friends, Jesse Jackson, Richard Madry, Scott Butler, Jim Horavath, and Dale Williamson; and many other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be held 3 - 7 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City where the funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Pastor Shawn Beauchamp officiating.
