James G. Smith, age 79, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012. Retired from OSU Medical Center. Graduate of Liberty Union High School, Baltimore, Ohio. Former member of Darbyville and Grove City Church of the Nazarene, and Christ United Evangelical Church. Preceded in death by parents, Grafton and Francis; sister, Edith; and brothers, Arthur and Robert. Survived by sister, Mary; brother Richard; many nieces and nephews; and by close friend, Gary Cattell. James wished to thank all who stood by him during some dark days in his life, especially Dr. Rob Crane and Dr. Fred Miser, two of the best. A memorial service will be held at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Amanda Township Cemetery at a later date.
