I have dreaded this day for years.  I am at a loss to express what's in my heart.  I have cried myself until i'm dehydrated.  The place this man held inside me was as big as he was in stature.  From the time i was a little girl my Uncle Jim was a hero to me.  He and my Daddy were the kindest, most godly men i had in my life as a child, and they taught me how to live.  After Dad died, Uncle Jim took the place of a fatherly mentor to me, and he advised me on everything from how to start my Toyota 4Runner to how to unstick storm windows.  I called him when my heart ached, and he gave the advice my father would have given.  His bright smile and laugh, and bone crushing hug never left me wondering if i was loved.  Next to my parents, this is the most devastating loss i have had as an adult.  I will miss him all my days- when i shoot, when i hike, when i spend time with my dogs, when i reflect on my family, which now lives in Heaven.  Uncle Jim, i love you so, and i always will.  I will always miss you.  Godspeed bright soul, to a rest well deserved.  May you and Mom and Dad and Grandpa and Grandma hold each other tight.  Until we meet on Jordan's shore (and i'll be waiting),

Even though we haven't had much contact the past several years, Jim Wyatt was my good friend, and he will be missed.  I met Jim in 1986, when my friend DG showed me his new motorcycle.  He told me that his friend Jim Wyatt talked him into getting the bike and that I should meet Jim.  The rest is history, and jokingly, DG and I always remarked that it was Jim's fault that we spent so much money on motorcycles.  But it was Jim's love of motorcycling that got us both into it in a big way.  We took a long trip with Jim and Paulette in 1990, touring the western U.S. on our motorcycles, and they became even better friends.  There were great times playing cards, especially all the laughs we shared playing Hand and Foot.

Jim had a love for the Lord, and didn't hesitate sharing it with others, which was very meaningful for us.  Thank you Jim for your faith, and for sharing it with us.

When we moved to Idaho, we sort of lost contact, but the occasional phone call was enjoyed.  I was recently going through some old photos taken on various motorcycle trips and rides, and Jim and his Kawasaki Voyager XII were in all of them.  These are all great memories.

Thank you Jim for being our friend for so long.  We will miss you, but now you are with your Lord Jesus, so there will be another time.  To Paulette, please accept our condolences.  It was sad news you had to share, but thank you for including us.  May God support and strengthen you in this time.  He has big shoulder that you can lean on when you need to.  Our love and prayers go out to you and your family.
