Jan Lynn Lyons

Jan Lynn Lyons, age 60 of Gahanna, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010. Jan was born and raised in Gahanna, daughter of Sally Erlenbach and the late Thad Erlenbach. Jan graduated from New Albany High School, Class of 1968. During high school, Jan met and later married her high school sweetheart, Roy Lyons, Jr., and the two of them started their family together and were blessed with 41 years of marriage. Jan retired from Schottenstein’s where she had worked for more than 20 years. Jan was a woman who was a lot of fun and had a great personality. She enjoyed bingo, attending auctions, and gambling at the riverboat casinos, but most of all, Jan’s love for her family and the time shared together with them surpassed all else. She was a very hands on grandmother who loved to laugh and smile whenever her grandchildren were around. She will be missed by her husband, Roy Lyons, Jr.; children, Jo Ellen (Ken) Rogers and Roy (Jennifer) Lyons, III; granddaughters, Hayley and Megan Rogers; mother, Sally Erlenbach; sister, Tara (Rick) Meyers; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday.
