Janet P. Boyd

Janet P. Boyd, age 87, of Upper Arlington, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her home at First Community Village. She was born July 3, 1927 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ralph and Louise (Powell) Barcafar. She was a graduate of Springfield High School and attended Bowling Green State University. Janet will be missed by her children, Robert E. (Brenda) Boyd, III, Susan Boyd (Jeff) Miller, Julia Boyd (Matt) Newman and Cheryl Boyd (Stephen) Schick; grandchildren, Sara Boyd (David) Smith, Robert E. Boyd IV, Katherine Boyd (Patrick) Winkel, John Boyd, James (Anna) Miller, Lindsey Miller, Robert Miller, Samantha Miller, Jeffrey Pierce, Emily Pierce (Dan) Manley, Tyler Pierce, Brianna McKinley, Grant, Erich and Kyler Schick and her great grandchildren; brother, William (Patsy) Barcafar and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert Emmett Boyd Jr., 2013; her sons, Frank Pierce III and David Pierce; and her sister, Sally. She and her husband Robert were avid boaters and enjoyed spending time on their boat cruising with friends. She was a member of Scioto Country Club where she loved to golf.
