Janet L. Brand

Jan graduated from Osborn-Bath High School in 1949. Following graduation, she moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University, where she met her future husband Jack. During her time at OSU, she was a proud member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She earned her bachelor's degree in Home Economics in 1954 and began her professional career. In 1957, Jan and Jack were married in Fairborn, Ohio. Jan spent many years working at Upper Arlington City Schools. After her retirement, she and Jack spent their time traveling and enjoying their five grandchildren.

Jan was engaged in her community. She served as a past president of the Clintonville Women's Club and was an active member of the Riverside Hospital Sewing Guild, Alpha Gamma Delta Alumni Chapter, and Trinity United Methodist Church. She was an avid bridge player and a lifelong fan of the Buckeyes!

Jan will be greatly missed by her husband Jack, daughters Susie (Jeff) Drerup & Nancy (Jon) Whybrew, and her grandchildren Ashley, Kelsey & Sydney Whybrew and Max & Kaylee Drerup. She is also survived by her niece and nephews and their children.

In addition to her parents, Jan is preceded in death by her sister and brother in law Joyce and Jerry Tilton.

Visitation will be held from 3-4pm followed by a Memorial Service at 4pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221.
