Janice M. Mitchell-Boyer, age 61, of Columbus, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born and raised in Jefferson Parish, LA. She was a loving wife to Donald Boyer; loving mother to Michael Phillips, Johans Simmons, Jonathan Simmons and Sheri Peoples; loving grandmother, Johans Simmons, Sharron Simmons, Chione Simmons, and Anthony Dates; sister to Sue Verrette, Mary Brown, Robert Mitchell, and John Mitchell. A memorial service is planned at a later date.
