Hi Marty,  I has been years since I have seen you or your mother.  I had no idea that she passed until my sister Mary emailed me.  I am so so sorry.  I would have been to the funeral mass on Saturday if I had known.  You have my deepest sympathy.  I know how hard it is to loss a mother.  I will keep you all in my prayers.

It has been a number of years since I met Mrs. Deibel but the memories are still clear  A large group of us at OSU decided to have monthly get togethers for dinners   Since the majority of us still lived at home, a lot of the preparation fell on to our mothers   I remember standing in the kitchen with Mrs Deibel and  she asked me what I was studying at OSU  All of the other kids were seeking some sort of  medical profession or some  type of  a pharmacy/ biology  career   There i was in elementary Art, she smiled and wished me luck  When I graduated I received an amazing book on Michelangelo from Marty ( I think Marty's Mom picked it out for me)   We talked about the cat and how Marty worried so and was so eager to have a nice dinner  There was awful weather that night with terrible storms resulting in a candle lite dinner with cold food  When the storm was over all of us watched the Movie called the Fly!!    When the parents came home, they asked how everything was and we all said just fine, no problems at all !!   I know  all of us enjoyed Mrs. Deibel's  dinner because she was a very caring Mom who made all of us feel right at home   I am so sorry for your loss Marty, my condolences to you and your family   Ruthanne Tocci James

I only today learned of Jean's passing, and am very sorry that I missed her service and the chance to meet her family. I met Jean nearly 18 years ago and, for many years after, golfed with her along with Becky Ewart. We had so much fun in our threesome, and I learned about golf and many other things along the way from both ladies. Jean was quite the competitor! Even after she turned 80, I was amazed at just how much she wanted to win that round of golf! She was a special person who loved her family so very deeply, and was so very proud of them. Even though we lost touch over the last few years, I thought about her often. I know that she is now with beloved family and friends in heaven, and is probably challenging Becky to one more round of golf...
