

Jean Lehman, 72, of Columbus, passed away on August 30, 2016. She was born on May 19, 1944 in Elm Grove, West Virginia to Lawrence A. and Wilma E. (Marshall) Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Sonny and Ray Cook, and her grandson Mike. Jean was a woman of strong faith who always put her family first. Her cooking skills were unparalleled, and she managed to keep her children alive in a time before EpiPens. She also loved shopping and was a skilled bargain hunter, always on the prowl for something she could buy for her family. Jean loved God and understood the meaning of Grace. She shared her love for our Lord and Savior by serving those around her. Her loss will be greatly felt by her husband of 53 years, Cal Lehman; her children Kim Kelly, Traci (Jimmy Conley) Sonney, Beth (Stephen) Testerman, and Paul Lehman; her sister, Jane (Lyle) Becht; her grandchildren Garrett, Brendan, Charles, Brad, Elizabeth, Jazmine, Talia, Lars, Alec, Toby, Miles, Madelyn and Ella; seven great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Please join the family on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 5-8pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street for a celebration of both her life and she and Cal’s 53rd Wedding Anniversary. Jean’s funeral will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
