Jeanne Elizabeth Young

Jeanne Elizabeth Young, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home, in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday, October 1, 2021. She was born on September 14, 1950 to Neal and Minnie Stemple. Jeanne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Akron University and went on to obtain her Masters in Education at West Virginia College of Graduate Studies. She spent her career as an educator and a school guidance counselor. Jeanne was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Jeanne and her husband of 50 years, Roger Young, loved to travel and go on new adventures. Jeanne had many passions: cooking, painting, quilting, and Euchre to name a few. Jeanne was a dedicated wife and actively involved in the Parkinson’s Foundation Great Lakes chapter. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and is survived by her loving husband Roger, sons Andy (Lauren), Scott (Elsie), grandchildren, Liam, Riya, Samantha and Lily, and sister Suzanne (Gary) Mourton.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Rd. A memorial service will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, October 8, 2021, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1581 Cambridge Blvd.
