Jerry L Ranney

Jerry L. Ranney, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Laurels of West Columbus. Jerry was born on June 12, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to Harry and Ruth Ranney. He was a graduate of Central High School. After high school he entered the US Navy and proudly served his country. Jerry retired in 1991 from ADT Security after 30 years of service. He was passionate about cars and going to car shows. He loved Corvettes and had a collection of model cars. Jerry was a devoted to his family, he really enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents: and brother, Daniel Ranney. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Maureen; sons, Mark D. and Keith P.; grandchildren, Derek and Erin; great granddaughter, Eva; twin sister, Sharron L Thomas; and nephew, Tim Wheat; other family and friends. Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 473 S. Roys Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43204 where Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am with Fr. Patrick Toner officiating. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to SMM - St. Vincent de Paul Society. Arrangements by Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger.
