Jerry Richardson

Jerry R. Richardson, age 64, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 surrounded by his immediate family. He was born to the late Robert and Mary Ellen Richardson on September 20, 1948 in Bellefontaine, OH. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was generous, fun-loving, warm hearted and was a hard worker. Jerry was a founding member of AKS at Bluffton College. He served in the U.S army stationed in Ft. Myer, VA. A member of the Columbus Athletic Club, Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, recent member of St. Mary of the Woods, and a board member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Ohio for several years. Jerry was an Executive Director for 34 years for White Castle System Inc. A soul mate to his wife, baseball and life coach to his sons, and loving Papoo to his loving grandchildren, Jerry loved living more than anyone knew. He was a good friend to all and will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, William “Bill” Painter. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jean Ann (Jones); sons, Jon Richardson and Jeff (Jill) Richardson; grandchildren, Brock, Anna, Mae; siblings, Thomas (Mary) Lee Richardson, Suzanne Richardson-Painter, Robert Joseph (Conn) Richardson; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Friends may call on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 3pm until 7pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the St. Joseph Cathedral, 212 East Broad St., Columbus, OH 43215. Father, Michael Gribble, Celebrant.
