Jo Ann Shea

Jo Ann Shea, 85, of Columbus, passed away February 28, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 5, 1930 in Hallsville, the daughter of Kenneth Ebert and Frances Almeda (Barnes) Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Linda Jo (Shea) Hannahs; grandson, Jason Hannahs; and brothers, Jack Henry Weaver and Billy Dale and Linda Lou Weaver; and brother-in-law, Ronald Claggett.

Jo Ann was a graduate of Salt Creek Twp. High School and retired from Nationwide Insurance. She then went on to work for Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Jo Ann was an intelligent, classy lady who enjoyed playing euchre, shopping, growing beautiful flowers, collecting Anna Lee and listening to Conway Twitty and George Jones. She traveled to many different places around the world, always to return to her favorite, Myrtle Beach.

Jo Ann is survived by her son, Tracy (Jennifer) Shea, Jr.; grandsons, Jonathan (Valarie) Hannahs, Jared and Jacob Ford and Joshua Shea; great-grandchildren, Robert and George Hannahs and Isaac Hannahs; sisters, Shirley J Claggett, Nancy Justice, Sally (Ronald) Majors and Cindy (Victor) Smith; brother, Robert (Carole) Weaver; special cousin, Joyce VanCuren; and son-in-law, Roger Hannahs.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, March 4, 2016 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville. Burial will be in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
