Joan A. Harrison, age 70, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, August 6, 2010. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on February 2, 1940, to the late Mary and Edward Brossard. Joan was passionate about her family and her friends, and she was an avid lover of birds, painting, and knitting. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Brossard. She is survived by her son, H. Scot (Eva) Harrison; grandsons, Hunter H. and Parker S. Harrison; and nephew, Jeffery Brossard. Joan also left behind many friends who will truly miss her. Family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. A time of remembrance will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
