Joan Sylvester

Joan Elizabeth Sylvester went home to be with her Savior on August 28, 2020. She was 92. Joan was a voice major, in Delta Zeta sorority at Baldwin Wallace College where she fell for the love of her life, Bill Sylvester, a pilot in the Army Air Core during WWII. Bill and Joan had been married for 67 years at the time of Bill's homegoing. She is survived by four children; Jim, married to Jan Wallace Sylvester, children Michelle and Daniel; Lynne, married to John Spence, children, Esther and Sarah; Suzanne, married to Doug Dewar, children David and Scott and son David who is married to Janeen Forsyth Sylvester. Their children, Melissa, Jared, Drew and Abby; 2 Nieces Gayle Persch and Cheryl Hughey (Tom ). 10 grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren.

As wonderful a mother as anyone could ever hope to have. You knew she believed in you, was always be there for you. She was a person who loved deeply and taught you the meaning of grace because she gave grace to you.

Her memorial was held Sunday September 6 at the Schoedinger Funeral home, N. High St. in Worthington.
