

Joann Weller, 84, of Circleville, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at her residence. She was born June 6, 1929 in Pickaway County, the daughter of the late Brice and Wanda (Oglesbee) Young. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William K. in 1989; grandson, Rusty Weller; sisters, Maxine Hoover and Mary Welsh; and brothers, Ralph, Chuck and Bob Young. Joann graduated from Pickaway Twp. in 1948 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of WELCA, Elizabeth Circle, the Friendship Group and had taught Bible School and Sunday School. She had previously volunteered at Berger Hospital and the clothing center and was a member of the Child Conservation League. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Joann’s faith and her family were the most important things in her life and she was happiest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and extended family.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Joann is survived by her sons, Randy (Bev) Weller, Rick (Anne) Weller and Rob (Theresa) Weller; daughter, Lisa (Eddie) Anderson; 8 grandchildren, Pete (Becky) Weller, Andy (Danielle Morrison) Weller, Gretchen (David) Wilson, Alise Weller, Devin and Chelsea Weller, Ian Anderson and Erin Hale; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Mary) Young; sister, Martha Pontius; sister-in-law, Carolyn Young; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of close friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Gerhard Kraus and Pastor Paul David Young officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church – Good Samaritan Fund, 135 E.
