Joanne Mae Bell

Joanne M. Bell, 72, of Columbus, passed away November 30, 2009. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lulu Belle Younger, Sr. Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, John Bell Sr.; children, John H. (Erika) Bell, Jr., James K. Bell, Kimberly (Keith) Bell-Johnson; grandchildren, Danielle Bell, Jordan Johnson, Erik and Evan Bell; brother, James Younger, Jr. and sister, Jessie Manns. Joanne was a member of First Baptist Church where she participated in many activities in the church including redecorating and planting flowers. She enjoyed helping and taking care of others. Joanne always gave of her time to children and enjoyed many years of teaching at the Jewish Center and for Columbus City Schools where, she was praised for her work as a teacher. Along with taking care of children through teaching, Joanne’s dedication was to her family. Her family was her main love in life. Visitation will be held 10:00AM- 12:00PM Friday, December 4, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Columbus, 1185 Noe Bixby Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43213. Funeral service will be held at 12:00PM at the church.
