John Harper Bain

John Harper Bain, 72, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, May 26, 21012 surrounded by family and friends. John was born in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Muriel and Dr. J. Herbert Bain. He graduated from New Concord High School, Muskingum College and the Ohio State University College of Law. After briefly practicing law, John embarked on a 40-year career with Homewood Corporation in San Juan Puerto Rico and Columbus. John is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Marisa; his brother, Phillip and sister-in-law, Marleen; children, James (Julie), Stephen (Michelle), Ellen, Hatuey, Marie Lourdes (Doug), Marisol (Gaston), Maria (John), and J.J. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Rachel, Olivia, Jackson, Georgia, Thomas, Isabella, Alexandra, Lionel and Anthony. John will be missed for his great love, kindness and generosity which he extended to so many. He was a constant source of encouragement and support for his family and many friends and his greatest joy came from the happiness of those he loved. A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30a.m. at St. Andrew Parish, 1899 McCoy Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220 (614-451-4290). Burial immediately following the mass.
