John "Jack" Bennett

John Stanley “Jack” Bennett, age 75, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 22, 2012. He was born February 20, 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late George and Virginia (Jefferies) Bennett. While serving in the U.S. Navy, Jack met and married Sue Crawford on August 23, 1958. Jack lived life to the fullest..enjoying golfing, bowling, camping, fishing and line dancing. He always made time to spend with his grandkids. Time with “Papa” was always treasured. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years, Sue; their three children, Mark (Kim) Bennett, Terri (Jim) Kirk and Kim (Robert) Tincher; beloved grandchildren, Alex Bennett, Nikki (Aaron) Hursh, Sean Kirk, Lauren, Ryan and Kaitlyn Tincher; sisters-in-law, Joan Cragin and Paulette Bennett; preceded in death by sister, Mary Ann Hoffer, brother, Paul Bennett and brothers-in-law, Ernie Cragin and Charles Hoffer. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-7pm Monday, August 27, 2012 with a service beginning at 7pm at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232; Memorial Mass 10:30am Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 5684 Groveport Rd., Groveport, OH 43125; Fr. Richard Metzger, Celebrant.
