John K. Casey, age 80, formerly of Upper Arlington, died at his home in Palm Coast, Florida on Thursday, March 14, 2013. He just celebrated his 80 th birthday on March 8th born in New York City, New York, the son of first generation immigrants from Ireland, the late John Joseph and Mary Ellen (Lynn) Casey. John retired as Vice Chairman and CFO of Wendy’s International, Inc. where he was a member of the Wendy’s International Hall of Fame. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Casey and a son, John J. Casey. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Debbie Casey; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Bridget Casey, Palm Coast, FL , Tim and Shelly Casey, Columbus, OH, and Tana Casey, Ocala, FL; daughters and sons-in-law, Maryann (Richard) Anderson, Glen Falls, NY and Jean (Rodney) Littlefield, Palm Coast, FL; stepson and his wife, Bill and Jenny Gourley, Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Kevin (Allison Borchers) Anderson, Mallory Anderson, Sean Casey, Shannon Casey, Johnny Casey, Riley Littlefield, Rowan Littlefield, Reid Littlefield, Kileigh Casey, Callahan Casey, Carter Casey, Connor Casey, Colin Casey and Kelsey Casey. John was a graduate of Xavier High School, New York, NY; Fordham University and received a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. John had served on the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Professional Advisory Board and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and New York Giants fan. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19th at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL 1740 Zollinger Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road at Reed Road with Fr. Michael Watson Celebrant.
