John J. Enevoldsen

John J. Enevoldsen age 93, died Tuesday January 21, 2014, at home. He was born in Louisa, KY. Retired from ABB (formerly AccuRay Corp.) after 30 years of service as manager of facilities and services. He was a member of the Greater Happy Apple Valley invitational Golf championship from work. Enlisted in the USN in 1939. Served in WWII aboard the Destroyers, USS Buck and USS Burns in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. Rank of Chief Petty Officer. He is a member of the "Tin Can Sailors" National Assoc. of Destroyer Veterans. Preceded in death by his parents, Wm and Opal Enevoldsen; brother, Wm (Betty) Enevoldsen; sisters, Juanita (Fred) Bowsher, Susan (Wm) Rose, Dollie (Tom) Wiseman; niece, Lisa Enevoldsen. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances of 59 years; children, Carol Enevoldsen, John K. (Louise) Enevoldsen, Christine (Arthur) Lass and Linda Whitehouse; grandchildren, Michael (Kathleen) Whitehouse, Kirsten, Rachel, John, and Kelsey great grandchildren, Ella and Nicolas; sister, Flora (Howard) Fortney; brother, George (Jan) Enevoldsen; many nieces and nephews. Family has entrusted SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL with arrangements.
