John W. Glenn

John Wilbur Glenn, age 79, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2018 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1957. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow and the Sea Scouts for many years. After graduating high school, John enter the Army National Guard where he served from 1957 until 1965. John was the Past Assistant District Commissioner for the Arrowhead District of the Boy Scouts of America. John was active in the Boy and Cub Scouts of America where he served as Committee Chairman. He devoted over 50 years as a Mason, where he served as the Past Master of the Kinsman Masonic Lodge and a member of the Triangle Lodge. John was a 32nd degree Valley of Columbus Mason. He was a dedicated member and Secretary to the Northeast Kiwanis Club. He is survived by loving wife of 59 years, Nancy; beloved children, Mike (Deana) Glenn, John (Gail Merry) Glenn and Connie (Mark) Shaw; grandchildren, Zach (Anya) Glenn, Meg (Nick Murphy) Glenn, Kallie Glenn, Hannah Shaw, Eli Shaw, Jeremiah "J.J." Shaw and Leah Shaw; great-grandchildren, Naomi and Lowen Glenn; special cousin, Margaret Babbert; along with numerous other cousins, extended family and adored family dog, Atticus (Glenn/Merry). Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral and Masonic service will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10am. Burial to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
