

John Arden Graves, Jr., age 68 of Sunbury, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016. John was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, son of John and Betty Graves, Sr. John graduated from Dublin High School and was a member of the US Army Reserves. John began a successful career in excavating and septic installation working alongside his father at the young age of 12. He later became the owner of Graves and Sons Inc. and Active Wastewater Systems, LLC. John was a hardworking, generous, loyal and independent man who was very well respected. He grew up riding and caring for horses, and enjoyed the outdoors including hunting and feeding the catfish in his pond. Above all else, John loved his family and was extremely proud to be a new grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Johnna (Brad) Rogers; granddaughter, Arden Rogers; parents, John and Betty Graves, Sr.; brother, Larry (Patricia) Graves; sister, Debbie (Tim) Graves; close family friend, Deanna Strouse; and many other extended family members, dear friends and colleagues.
