Dear Marilyn and Kris, I'm so sorry to hear of John's death especially so close to Brian's passing.  John meant so much to me, I learned so much from him when I was just a boy down the street.  I enjoyed hanging around him when I was 14, 15, 16, he would be working on his race car or painting in (I believe Barney's garage) next door.  I learned about painting cars, working on cars which I have carried with me my entire adult life.  John was a mentor to me and I will be forever grateful, sometimes people don't realize the impact they have on a young person.  I was able, not to long ago, to tell John I appreciated the experiences.  I will never forget John and the lessons and values he taught me early on.
