

John C. "Jack" Leeson, age 76 of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014. He was born in East Orange, New Jersey on September 9, 1937 to the late John and Helen Leeson. Jack was a 1955 graduate of Corning Free Academy and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science from Ithaca College. He worked as a radio announcer in New York State; he also worked for Corning Glass, Rubbermaid, and Swedish Match where he retired after many years of dedicated service. Jack was a member of the East Side Grace Brethren Church where he was a part of the choir and the Senior Group Bible Study. He was also a member of the Capital City Masonic Lodge, The Aladdin Shrine Temple (The Chanters and The Jesters), BPOE #37 Past Exalted Ruler, and the Moose Lodge. At Christmastime he enjoyed playing Santa and reciting Dickens, A Christmas Carol. He also enjoyed golfing. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janice Leeson; children, Jay (Tiwi) Leeson and Jill Leeson; grandchildren, Matt and Angie Leeson; and mother in-law, Marjorie Olmstead. Friends may call on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 10:00am-12:00pm with memorial service immediately following at 12:00pm at East Side Grace Brethren Church, 7510 East Broad Street, Blacklick, Ohio 43004. Pastor Chip Heim officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in Jack's memory may be made to Heartland Hospice or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
