John was born in Wyandot, Michigan on August 7, 1952 to the late William and Dolly (LaRue) Rippey. He passed away on June 29, 2010 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
John was the supervisor/chef of dining services at the Newark Courtyard Marriott. He was the type of person who lived life to the fullest. He knew no stranger, was a very giving person and would help anyone who was in need. He loved his work and enjoyed spending time with his family and co-workers at the Marriott. He will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include two sisters and three brothers, Dolly, Grace, Fred, Lloyd and Jim; close friends, Carl and Pat; and a host of other friends. Arrangements are entrusted to Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home.
